Vance Yoshida

Vance partners closely with clients to think through challenges and opportunities and then craft effective responses for sustainable results. Blending wisdom gained from experience in both the business and social sectors, he uses proven approaches to create powerful strategies, foster strong nonprofit partnerships, and build organizational capacity. Vance has led client engagements with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Association of Children's Museums, Colorado AIDS Project, Thrive Foundation, and Grantmakers for Education to support collaboration, ensure effective governance, and advance strategic decision making.

His expertise, attention to process, and analytical abilities make Vance a trusted resource to national, regional, and local nonprofits and foundations. Prior to joining La Piana Consulting, Vance served at the Tides Center in San Francisco in multiple capacities including acting executive director. He was also CEO of a large family business with operations in several countries. Vance has an MBA with a focus in finance and marketing from the University of California at Los Angeles and a BA in Economics from the University of California at Davis.
