Invest in Leadership to Build Your Capacity

Nonprofit organizations are essential to our quality of life, and with uncertain resources and shifting needs, outstanding executive leadership is essential to nonprofits’ success.

At La Piana Consulting, our mission is to improve leadership and management practices throughout the sector for greater social impact. We are dedicated to helping advance your organization’s mission.  It is our goal to deliver concrete results that enhance your leadership, empower your team, improve your organizational effectiveness and serve your community.

La Piana Consulting works to build the capacity of the nonprofit sector through the design and implementation of leadership development programs. A hallmark of our Leadership Advanced model for leadership development is an intensive learning opportunity for executive directors, designed using a peer learning community model, in which small groups of executive directors commit to learn together over an extended period, often a year.

Our programs guide both new and experienced nonprofit leaders on a learning journey through skill-building, peer networking, and the evolution of a personal leadership style. Our approach helps nonprofit leaders to achieve both greater organizational success and deeper personal satisfaction. We know it works: participant surveys, funder satisfaction, and two independent evaluations prove it.

We integrate several approaches to leadership development: personal and professional, practical and intellectual.  Our programs are customized to meet the needs of both sponsoring funders and participating leaders.

Client Testimonials

"I am more confident in working through challenges; I now see myself as a leader, which is empowering. I am so fortunate; just being there, engaged in meaningful discussion with other non-profit executives as well as having La Piana consultants as more than a resource..."
