Strategic Solutions Project
Local Partners
A key component of the Strategic Solutions initiative was the development
of relationships with “Local Partners” that facilitated our
communication with community-based nonprofits throughout the state of California
. Local Partners were primarily community foundations or management support
organizations with a "close to the ground" perspective on the
needs of their local nonprofit community. This connection enabled us to
target learning opportunities for specific audiences, and connected us
to model restructuring projects which could serve as significant case studies
for a wider audience.
In exchange, Strategic Solutions offered a variety of services to Local
Partners in order to enhance their ability to identify and assist with
the challenges and opportunities faced by the nonprofit organizations in
their communities. Funders, management support staff, and consultants were
able to develop experience that built their capacity to continue helping
local nonprofits long after the project reached its conclusion.
Our services included:
- Regular updates on developments in the field of strategic solutions.
- Workshops for nonprofits and funders
- Trainings for local nonprofit management consultants
- Consultation services for local nonprofits contemplating strategic
restructuring.
- Training and consultation for the board and staff of the Local Partners
