Applications Now Open: La Piana Consulting’s Scholarship Award for First-Generation College Students
La Piana Consulting is happy to announce that applications are now open for our annual scholarship program supporting first-generation college students who are committed to social justice and community service.
Founded by a first-generation college student and child of immigrants, David La Piana, La Piana Consulting has spent over two decades helping more than 1,600 mission-driven organizations navigate change and amplify their impact. This scholarship is a reflection of that same commitment to support leaders who are driving change in their communities from the ground up.
The selected student will receive a $2,000 scholarship to help cover educational expenses.
Who is eligible?
This opportunity is open to:
- First-generation college students
- Students currently attending or accepted to a U.S.-based 2-year, 4-year, or graduate degree program
- Individuals with a demonstrated dedication to community service and social justice
Over the past three years, we’ve been honored to support inspiring changemakers through this scholarship, including:
- 2022: Gurleen Kaur, The University of New Mexico
- 2023: Jennifer Ibarra, University of California, Santa Barbara
- 2024: Emily Santillanes, California State University, San Bernardino
Applications are due by November 28, 2025.
