Now Accepting 2026 Scholarship Applications

La Piana Consulting is pleased to announce that applications are now open for our 2026 annual scholarship program, supporting first-generation college students committed to social justice and community impact.

Founded by first-generation college student and child of immigrants David La Piana, our firm has spent more than two decades partnering with over 1,600 mission-driven organizations to navigate change and strengthen their impact. This scholarship reflects that same belief: that leadership rooted in lived experience and community commitment creates lasting transformation.

Each year, one student is selected to receive a no-strings attached $2,000 scholarship award to help cover educational expenses.

Who is eligible?
This opportunity is open to:

  • First-generation college students
  • Students currently attending or accepted to a U.S.-based 2-year, 4-year, or graduate degree program; no GPA requirements
  • Individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to community service and social justice

Over the past four years, we’ve had the privilege of supporting inspiring changemakers, including:

  • 2025: Aaron Rodriguez, University of Massachusetts, Amherst
  • 2024: Emily Santillanes, California State University, San Bernardino
  • 2023: Jennifer Ibarra, University of California, Santa Barbara
  • 2022: Gurleen Kaur, The University of New Mexico

We are proud of this growing community of scholars and look forward to welcoming our 2026 recipient.
