Meet Estephany, one of our Project Coordinators.

 

Estephany Gomez Bautista (she/her) is highly motivated by purpose-driven work and takes pleasure in supporting organizations turning big ideas into real impact. Through her professional and volunteer experiences, Estephany has worked with and for diverse communities to advance social justice and promote equity. She enjoys working with organizations that center the lived experiences and needs of the communities they serve – especially organizations addressing critical issues of economic and social inequality.

Prior to joining La Piana, Estephany worked as a Faculty Support Assistant at UCLA Law and served as the Program Coordinator for the Critical Race Studies Program. She also served as a Legal Assistant for the Central American Resource Center – Los Angeles and a Public Affairs Intern for Planned Parenthood Los Angeles.

 

Impact Approach

Estephany is excited about the unique opportunity to work closely with nonprofits and foundations as they plan and implement creative approaches and solutions. She believes in making a long-lasting impact by providing excellent project management and customer service to organizations at the front lines of change.

 

 

Education

  • University of California, Los Angeles, Bachelor of Arts: Political Science and Sociology, minor in Labor and Workplace Studies

 

 

Outside of Work

Estephany was born in the central state of Mexico just north of the greater Mexico City urban area. She is a proud first-generation college graduate and the first in her family to have a professional career. Estephany loves live music, visiting other major cities, and looks forward to the Spring season each year. She also has a miniature dachshund who keeps her very busy.
